Rock is the co-ordinator of external affairs of the USTKE (Union of Kanak and Exploited Workers) from Kanaky-New Caledonia, which is part of the movement for independence from France and has supported the independence front FLNKS (Kanak and Socialist National Liberation Front). He will speak about workers, unions and the struggle against French colonialism in a session on Imperialism and resistance in the Pacific.
